What it does for your water
The DAORBT FCRSQ12000GRAWO21001V0 12,000-Grain Portable Water Softener is a portable / RV softener rated at 12,000 grains.
A portable softener is sized by gallons between regenerations: at 10 grains per gallon, 12,000 grains softens about 1,200 gallons; at 20 grains per gallon, about 600. It regenerates with table salt poured into the tank and a fresh-water flush, so harder water means more frequent regenerations.
