What it does for your water
The AFWFilters AIG15-25SXT-34 Air Injection Gold Fleck 2510SXT Air-Injection Iron Filter is an air-injection iron filter using Air Injection on a Fleck 2510SXT valve. Its listing gives a flow of 12 GPM. It states iron reduction up to 15.
Instead of a chemical feed, this design uses air drawn into the tank to oxidize iron and hydrogen sulfide, then backwashes the residue to drain.
Match its limits to a water test: iron, manganese, pH and sulfur. It belongs ahead of a softener so iron never reaches the resin.
Other listed details: media Air Injection; model AIG15-25SXT-34; valve Fleck 2510SXT; flow 12 GPM; iron rating 15.
